If you have not already heard. Your oral health plays a huge role in the overall general health of ones body. Studies have shown over and over again how closely the two are related. Besides that, don’t you want to keep your natural teeth as long as you possibly can?

I was in the dental field for 22 years and in that time have seen more than my share of every kind of dental issue imaginable. From people not being educated about the improtance of their dental care to people who simply did not go to the dentist unless they had a major problem. For whatever reason(s) people do not seek care from the Dentist like they do from their M.D. which is so unfortunate. Espically since as I stated above the importance of getting regular dental exams which leads me to the next thing which is dental insurance.
This can be a very confusing subject. The different types of dental plans and all the different insurance companies out there offering these plans is enough to make you crazy. Some companies offer plans only through an employer and if your employer does not offer it, it can sometimes be very hard to find on your own.
